I remember in elementary, I went to "The Far End", which is some sort of alternative class to develop problem-solving skills for brighter students.  Miss Limburg was a great teacher.  She always made everyone feel welcome and challenged us to solve the problems and puzzles.

I remember always looking forward to this time as I had a great time there.  I wonder if they still have this...

This reply is over a year later, but Miss Limburg and the Far End was one of the best class times in elementary.  I started in 1st grade with two Cambodian siblings Onee and Philip San (I can't believe I still remember their names despite only a year with them!)  To my knowledge that was the first year for the Far End in '76.
I remember designing the interior layout of the new elementary library in 4th or 5th grade as a class.  I loved the hammock and the loft above it.
Even in high school I would stop by and try out the puzzles she had for the week.
I can say that Joy Limburg really helped develop my mind and pushed it with a lot of fun activities.

Yeah, that was a cool place to hang out!  It was my oasis away from regular classes.
